The latest label to join Weekday’s popular line Weekday Collaborations is Stockholm based The Local Firm. The brand has a distinctive design code which combines high fashion attire with innovative jeans design and for Weekday TLF creates a collection distinguished by its delicate use of grey tones. The new collection for both men and women will be in all Weekday stores by May 29th 2010.
For this collaboration we designed a sports collection inspired by the 80s tracksuit while also reminiscing Olympic teams of the former East Block. The range of grey tones throughout the line and the team spirit of ›strength in numbers‹ is typical of The Local Firm’s design philosophy«, says Richard Hutchinson, one of the founders of TLF.
The Local Firm’s collection for Weekday contains a sharp-looking mix of sporty garments and accessories. The tracksuits and light weight jersey are combined with accessories such as a whistle necklace, a nylon sports cap and nylon bags.
