This is such sad news on any type of day. One of our FAVORITE designers on our blog decided to take his life. British designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in his home, believed to have commited suicide by hanging himself. So sad. He has done the fashion industry justice in my opinion, and i loved every part of his work.
Here's a little bit of info for you guys. He received his Masters degree in Fashion design and by luck his graduation collection was acknowledged by the fashion stylist Isabella Blow. Check this out, Isabella was the one to persuade McQueen to change his name from Lee to Alexander (his middle name) when he finally launched his fashion career. Icelandic singer Björk sought McQueen’s work for the cover of her album Homogenic in 1997. How cool is that ?! very nice
