Greg Lauren “Alteration: New Works on Paper ” Exhibition

Greg Lauren’s family background would probably have been the precusor to a career in fashion. However, the nephew of Ralph Lauren and who’s father Jerry Lauren has been an integral part of Ralph Lauren’s designs went down a different path in art. In his exhibition Alteration: New Works on Paper, the artist brings a new dimension to art and fashion as he constructs various garments as a sort of story to his life. Some particularly noteworthy parts of the exhibition include suits constructed of Japanese paper. The exhibition runs until November 1st at 28 Wooster St. in New York City.

Kanye West was spotted late summer rocking a pair of dark suede/tan white Balenciaga high-top sneakers (seen below in various colorways $260-$500). This particular style can be easily identified due to the silver eyelets with the 3 silver lace loops, ankle heel back segment, and the stitching detail.

The classic images feature some of the brands forthcoming selections, including the Danni, Rees, Barries, Riley and Sacha. Featured in the lookbook are the familiar faces of actor Elijah Woods and Shirley Manson.

The $240,000 Blackberry Curve

My favorite gadget bedazzler, Alexander Amosu is at it again. He has announced the creation of what he calls the "the world's most expensive BlackBerry." His BlackBerry Curve 8900 feature nearly 29 carats of diamonds (over 4,450 individual stones) and is drenched in 18K gold. It is expected to sell for $240,000. According to CIO, Amosu plans to sell only three, one of which has already gone to a client in the Middle East.

Showcasing their fall collection entitled “I Thought You Were Cool”, the lookbook was shot at the home of Lazy Oaf designer Gemma Shiel and photographed by Bella Howard. Bright, youthful and candy-coated, Lazy Oaf is about the tongue-in-cheek lad who has a laissez-faire attitude towards fashion. And we would not want it other way.
