Gucci Vintage Carry-On Bag

Gucci re-appropriate a traveling staple with the creation of this vintage-inspired carry-on bag. Creative director Frida Giannini sought out to re-create some of Gucci’s former offerings dating back to the 60s. With this in mind, the bag features a material known as GG Plus which combines multiple layers of PVC to create a waterproof finish. The Gucci links logo is subtly printed with the final product resulting in a texturized finish.

Gucci Canvas & Leather Tote

Something about Gucci makes me feel like Royalty. Can you help me figure it out? This beauty of a bag is what happens when you don't overdo the branding and craft something that is distinctly recognizable as a Gucci piece without looking like you just walked out of the Jersey Shore house. This weekender/tote ($1,790) is wrapped in expertly constructed leather and canvas boldly accented with Gucci's signature striping. Get it HERE

UpscaleHype's Top Looks from the Milan 2011 S/S Fashion Week

Milan S/S 2011 Fashion week was just amongst us, and these are a few of the looks I’m interested in seeing make it from the runway to my everyday style. So out of these four looks which one do you like best?

Plucked from the runway this first look is from the Burberry S/S 2011 Collection, and even though Burberry had several outstanding pieces this one caught my eye. Ultimately, it came down to the loud effects of the mustard yellow trench layered over the white tank and accentuated with the black pants and sandals. (Which I would substitute with a pair of boots or sneakers)

This look is from the Dolce & Gabanna Spring 2011 Collection, and it screams Summer and Spring. The color and texture of the sweater is what sets off this look and serves as the base for the entire fit. Once that was established everything fell in line perfectly. The grey belt separates the top from the bottom half allowing for the frayed white linen pants and the sneakers to bring it all together.

This look is from the Gucci S/S 2011 Collection and defines what it means to look nice, sharp, and clean. I love the color and the fit of the blazer, but just not to fond of the Gucci logo illustrations covering it. (Great pieces are not to be broadcasted but yet inquired about) The addition of the black vertically striped v-neck along with the pants tailored just enough shows off the suede driver.

Straight from the Trussardi 1911 Spring 2011 Collection, this outfit is all about being bold and showcasing attitude. For many men leopard print is usually avoided because of how dominant it has been in women’s fashion. So for the fearless, leopard print if executed well shows you have confidence and sense of style. These are characteristics that would make any man irresistible. What I like most about this look is how the leopard print is toned down by a variation of tan and black avoiding a matching disaster.

.Let.It.All.Out!.

Ladies, its mani & pedi season so please get it together for me. Sandal season has been in for quite sometime now, especially in ATL; why not do it classy ?
Check out these really cute Gucci thong sandals. Very very cute ! The sandal comes in a black leather and features the large interlocking GG symbol on the back. You don't have to be logo crazy to love these. They retail about $440.

The thing I love about these sandals is the large studded rose in the center. These are the Giuseppe Zanotti Rose Flats. I really like them both. They retain about $650. What do you think ladies ?

GUCCI x AFRICA !

Gucci is preparing to launch its fifth annual charity campaign to benefit UNICEF. The designer handbag brand has raised almost $7 million to support UNICEF's efforts in education, healthcare, protection, and clean water in the past 5 years. This year's collection is inspired by Snowman in Africa, the sequel to the best-selling children's book Snowman in Paradise. Gucci will sell the book alongside its limited edition charity accessories collection in its retail stores and online. 100% of the book's retail price, and 25% of the bag sales, will benefit UNICEF.

The accessories available include the large Joy Bag, and the smaller coin purse and wallet. As the name of the collection suggests, the purse's feature an appliquéd snowman standing in a field of African grasses and wrapped up by a native snake. Ladies ! Will you support ?! It will only help to boost the profile of this worth-while collection, I mean its only right !

Gucci Twirl Watch To Support The Ladies Out There

Here is a watch for women to support women. The popular Gucci Twirl watch has just been made even more a watch for women by creating a special edition Gucci Twirl F.F.A.W.N. timepiece. FFAWN is the Foundation For the Advancement of Women, and for each of these watches that are sold, Gucci will give $100 to the foundation.

Oddly enough Gucci combines its giving to the foundation with the creation of a phantom watch - meaning it is in all black. This has been a popular style for men's watches, but I only now am seeing it applied to women's watches of this caliber. The timepiece is in black stainless steel with a spinning (twirling) watch face dial. The face is also in all black and surrounded by 34 black diamonds. The watch movement is a Swiss quartz. The caseback of the watch reads "Gucci for F.F.A.W.N." An interesting interpretation of the iconic looking timepiece.

Just what FFAWN does is a bit of a mystery to me. It was started by singer Mary J. Blige to help women reach their potential. The foundation gives grants and scholarships and has programs for women to help improve their self esteem and achieve various levels of personal and professional development. The Gucci for FFAWN Twirl watch retails for $1,895.
